About the PositionThe Lane County Clerk's Division has an opening for an Administrative Analyst, Senior, position. This position provides support to all programs in this division, including Elections, Deeds & Records, Board of Property Tax Appeals, and Archives. The work location would primarily be at Elections at 275 W 10th Avenue, Eugene, but at times would be at the Public Service Building at 125 E 8th Avenue, Eugene. This person will work on high level tasks, with a degree of autonomy and oversight of other staff. The ability to communicate effectively with vendors, county employees, and state agencies is essential. A strong attention to detail and organization is key to this position. Most tasks are deadline driven. Examples of responsibilities include: resolving high level voter signature discrepancies, troubleshooting and operating the ballot sorter equipment; ballot design, layout, and proofing; resolving voter intent issues on returned ballots while following statutory guidelines; testing/administration for planned system upgrades; preparation and maintenance of web pages for division programs; analyzing current practices and providing improvement recommendations to management; writing and updating procedures; training permanent and extra help staff.***YOU ARE REQUIRED TO UPLOAD A COVER LETTER FOR THIS POSITION. Include employer, position, and dates employed.About the DivisionThe County Clerk will administer all federal, state, and local laws as they apply to conducting elections, processing voter registration, recording land documents, and issuing marriage licenses, while maintaining the highest degree of integrity and accuracy, and providing exceptional customer service.Schedule: Monday - Friday; 8am-5pm or 7:30am-4:30pm. The normal work schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm with a one-hour lunch. The division offers employees the opportunity to flex their 8 hour daily shift between the hours of 7:30am and 5:00pm. This is subject to business need and management approval. Some overtime is required during major elections. *This is an AFSCME represented position*Training:Equivalent to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in business administration, public administration, organizational analysis, accounting, finance or a related field.Experience:Three years of responsible administrative staff support and analytical experience.An equivalent combination of experience and training that will demonstrate the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying.Job Requirements: Administrative Analyst, Senior Classification Equal Employment OpportunityLane County is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
