They are looking for an energized accounting professional to help grow with our company. Our client does business nationally and internationally from our facilities in Roseburg, Oregon.Essential Job Functions - Responsibilities:
  Cost accountant duties including setting up of projects and sales orders in the ERP system. Monitor projects continually for accuracy and relevanceMaintaining cost allocations on work orders & sales order, assuring accurate cost of materials and labor transactionsAssist with labor and payrollAssess cost of materials, labor, and other various business expenses for probability and cost benefit analysisPerform variance analysis per work orders and on projectsReviewing and auditing contract terms, orders and other related documents involving accountingApply accounting principles to record financial informationAssist accounts receivableAnalyze General Ledger AccountsPrepare and post journal entriesAnalysis of financial information including but not limited to: Assets, liabilities, capital, WIP, revenue, etcHelp with the preparation of monthly/yearly financial statementsAssist with Net income analysis and forecastInvolved in process and accounting system improvements which includes writing and updating standard operating proceduresMonitor certain performance metrics and provide internal reportingDevelop an in-depth understanding of accounting processes and systemInvestigate nuances or problems with sub-ledger or general ledger postingsEducation and Experience: (Knowledge, skills, & abilities)

  Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferredAssociates degree considered with experienceAdhere to GAAP reporting standardsTech savvy/computer literate with experience with High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word etc a must)Organized, efficient and high attention to detailThe ability to thrive in a dynamic environmentExcellent communication skills, both oral and writtenExperience with Visual or other ERP software is a plusDesire to work as part of a team but also be self-motivated as circumstances dictateWillingness to perform tasks outside the scope of job descriptionAbility to pass background checkWork EnvironmentStandard office environment with normal office related conditions.
