You will join a team of motivated, dedicated and empowered employees who strive to provide superior service and conduct accurate transactions, while complying with policies, procedures and regulatory banking requirements.REQUIREMENTS:This position requires a two-year degree (related field preferred) or three years of related work experience in graphic design, marketing, social media, and Adobe Software Suite.Must demonstrate a superior level of member service with co-workers, management, and business partners; strong interpersonal communication skills; and a demonstrated high level of commitment to the organization. Must be able to build relationships in the community and possess excellent oral and written communication skills. A positive attitude, a professional image, self-motivation and the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously are expectations of this role.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Develop and maintain campaigns and/or additional marketing and educational materials (i.e. brochures, posters, inserts, banners, newspapers ads, web site, etc.) as well as disclosures and in-house documents that comply with local, state, and federal rules and regulations and Credit Union policies. Create, edit and maintain Credit Union's social networking sites and ensure maximum effectiveness by staying up-to-date with any relevant events/news in First Community Credit Union's various locations.
  • Supervises the activities of marketing at all locations, including assisting in providing staff training as assigned by management.
  • Assist Vice President of Marketing in establishing a multi-year marketing strategy consistent with the Credit Union's vision. Assist with developing and implementing an annual marketing plan and budget; monitor and track branch marketing and promotional budgets.
  • Maintain promotional supplies and process and ship weekly branch orders.
  • Organizes and participates in Credit Union marketing events and/or outside events sponsored by the Credit Union.
  • Conduct research on product usage and member demographics to enhance marketing efforts and service to the members. Track the effectiveness of marketing promotions and efforts and report the results to Vice President of Marketing
  • Is aware of financial industry trends and competition by reading pertinent materials and attending approved meetings and seminars with the purpose of increasing the effectiveness of the position and the marketing program.
  • Represents the Credit Union with honesty, integrity and trust at all times.
  • Adheres to established internal policies and procedures for compliance.
  • Completes required compliance training in a timely manner and complies with all regulations within scope of the position. Keep abreast of changes dictated by regulations, rules, and laws to ensure compliance within marketing.
  • Adheres to the requirements of the Bank Secrecy Act, OFAC, USA PATRIOT Act and anti-money laundering regulations.BASE EXPECTATIONS:
    • Be willing to perform any duty (beyond Primary Duties above) as assigned.
    • Confidentiality is of the utmost importance. The Marketing Specialist is representing the Credit Union and empathy and tact are to be used at all times.
    • Communicate effectively with members, coworkers, management, and vendors and promote an atmosphere of teamwork throughout the credit union.
    • Recognize and listen to member/coworker requests and/or concerns and identify their needs to help ensure successful resolutions.
    • Is exceptional at problem solving issues as they arise and demonstrates the ability to perform analytical thinking and application of concepts.
    • Demonstrates exceptional judgment with knowing when to trouble shoot concerns and/or bring to the attention of management.
    • Possess a detailed working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint software applications that is adequate to perform the duties assigned.
    • Maintain a general knowledge of products, services, and the functions of all operations within the Credit Union, with emphasis in your particular area of responsibility.
    • Communicate effectively with members, subordinates, supervisors, and others by demonstrating positive listening and personal communication skills, including providing timely responses to their questions and concerns.
    • Demonstrate exceptional public and interpersonal relations with those you contact.WORKING CONDITIONS:
      • Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of items weighing up to 60 lbs.
      • Potential exposure to the threat of violence at any time.
      • Occasional business travel may be required.
      • Sitting or standing for extended periods of time may be required.
