As the Senior Manager, SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting, you will be responsible for leading external financial reporting (including SEC filings), executive level internal reporting, technical accounting, and audit coordination. Your focus will also be on supporting the development, growth, and evolution of these areas in a public company.
This is a high visibility role and offers exposure to leadership and many organizational areas within Getty Images. - As the external reporting leader in a new public company, you will help form the processes and controls to meet the reporting requirements and deadlines we now face.
Your Next Challenge: Timely and accurately report quarterly (10-Q) and annual (10-K) financial statements presented in accordance with US GAAP & SEC guidelines, in addition to supporting other SEC filings (8-K, proxy, etc.). -You will also have broad responsibility over technical accounting assessment and documentation (technical white papers) and audit coordination with our accounting firm.
Effectively summarize and apply technical accounting in accordance with US GAAP. - Prepare technical accounting memos to conclude on accounting positions.
Prepare and manage quarterly SEC reporting calendar, including coordination with external auditors, executive, legal, compliance, audit committee and investor relations stakeholders.
Monitor the development and applicability of emerging accounting and reporting rules being deliberated by the SEC, US GAAP, PCAOB, or other regulations. Ensure compliance with all SEC and US GAAP accounting and disclosure requirements.
Review and provide feedback on internal and external communications related to financial reporting, including board presentations, investor relations, presentation decks, earning releases, etc.
Advise management of trends and changes in reporting requirements, peers, competitors, and industry trends
What You'll Need: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field. CPA license or equivalent required.
Minimum of 7+ years of relevant work experience within both a public accounting firm (Big 4 preferred) and/or a publicly traded US company with responsibility over SEC reporting.
Expert understanding of US GAAP.
A critical eye with attention to detail.
Ability to independently set direction, motivate team and deliver results.
A high degree of emotional maturity and leadership presence with the ability to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels.
Must be deadline driven with a strong desire for continual process improvements and to find solutions.
