Pacific University invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Social Work starting in Fall 2019. This is a nine-month full-time, tenure track academic position in Pacific's MSW program, located in Eugene, Oregon. Candidates must have a MSW degree from a CSWE accredited university and a PhD in social work, social welfare or closely related field. A minimum of three years post-MSW social work practice experience is required. The MSW program at Pacific is grounded in the social work professions' values and ethical principles of service, social justice, the dignity and worth of the person, the importance of human relationships, integrity, competence, human rights, and scientific inquiry. We seek to produce culturally competent, highly trained, advanced social work practitioners who have special preparation to work with immigrant and Latino communities, and other communities of color, and to become leaders in the fields of health and wellness. Candidates should possess interests and experience consistent with the goals of the program and be able to teach across the spectrum of an advanced generalist practice curriculum.
