Chemours is seeking a Staff Engineer to join our growing Thermal & Specialized Solutions (TSS) Technical Service team! This position will report directly to the Global Technical Services Manager - TSS at our Newark, DE location.The primary focus of this role will be to provide direct technical support for our next generation OpteonTM refrigerant solutions to air-conditioning OEMs, aftermarket customers, and end users. This highly visible role will require regular direct interaction with a wide variety of industry stakeholders.The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Direct support for AC OEMs, aftermarket customers, and end users. Activities include -
    • Product evaluations / qualifications and investigation of quality concerns
    • Handling refrigerants hotline calls and emails
    • In-person and virtual industry training through seminars and webinars
    • Regular interaction with R&D and Marketing functions
      • Insight sharing on customer needs
      • Supporting product commercialization efforts
      • Technical writing and literature development related to next generation refrigerants
      • Supporting case studies and field trials for new refrigerants
      • Standards related activities and support of industry associations (e.g., AHRI, ACCA, ASHRAE, ESCO)The following is required for this role:
        • Bachelor's Degree in science or engineering
        • Ten years of ACR industry related experience
        • Ability to travel regularly
        • Strong verbal and interpersonal skillsThe following is preferred for this role:
          • Five years of refrigerant-related experience
