Educates Distributors, Contractors, Builders and Influencers on product knowledge and methods used to insulate and air seal homes and mechanical systems for sound control and thermal efficiency. Validates contractors through in-field training programs that are consistent with the Knauf Training Programs. Works closely with Sales and Marketing and supports new hires by providing ongoing training pertaining to Knauf products, their applications and building science principles.ResponsibilitiesGeneral training responsibilities

• Identifies training and development in conjunction with sales and marketing leaders under the direction of Manager, Academy
• Serves as subject matter expert on building science and product information, positioning KINA as a thought leader
• Initiates, organizes, and undertakes training in the form of courses, workshops, and seminars
• Assists in the creation and delivery of live and pre-recorded video content
• Directs planning and organization of all workshops that are offered
• Writes central core training courses and specific workshops
• May design and implement assessment programs to identify training needs -Responsibilities related to Knauf Insulation's product offering and channel set-up
  • Serves as the building envelope educator by stressing the importance of properly insulating and air sealing the home and the impacts of not doing so via principles of building science
  • Conduct field training for contractors and builders on air sealing and insulation practices
  • Utilize Salesforce to document all interactions with customers, prospects and influencers
  • Support Territory Managers by providing ongoing training pertaining to building envelope principles
  • Organizes training activities and monitors quality of training programs in order to ensure that training needs are met and sales performance is enhanced
  • Develop & recommend best practices and strive to continuously improve training methods on an ongoing basis
  • Present information using a variety of instructional techniques or formats, such as hands-on training practices, role playing , group discussions or lectures
  • Remain current in the industry by taking part in training seminars, researching new industry information and collaborating with the Manager, Academy and other colleagues
  • Develops and/or provides input on content appropriate for all audiences and in support of overall marketing (ie. Blogs, Videos, Podcasts, Webinars, Literature etc.) -QualificationsEducation: -
    • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or related field
    • Building Performance Institute (BPI) Certification preferred
    • HERS Rater Certification preferred
    • Minimum of two (2) years' relevant experience in Residential Building or Mechanical System Construction and Energy Efficient Design -Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
      • Knowledge of building science and building envelope principles
      • Building and construction knowledge

      • Ability to communicate effectively within the department and throughout the organization
      • Ability to make thorough decisions and provide creative solutions to any issues/opportunities identified

      • Ability to travel approximately 50% of the time within a defined territory
      • Ability to speak a second language, primarily Spanish, preferred
