Zillow's Search and Discovery team is responsible for creating the most customer-centric search experience for buyers and renters to find their dream home and feel confident to explore it with Zillow. The team leads the end-to-end search experience across web and app platforms including browse, personalization, maps, search and filters, auto-complete, and more. It is also responsible for building the services and the AI models for search ranking, personalization, Natural Language processing, and many other cutting-edge products that power Zillow's industry-leading online marketplace. About the role We are looking for a Principal Product Manager to help take our search experience to the next level. You will be owning core parts of the search platform and AI team, including filters, map and listing navigation back-end, property indexing and matching, content understanding, SEO optimization. You will be reporting to the Director of Product. You'll have a ton of visibility in the company, and you'll be empowered to change the trajectory of your product team and impact directly our business growth. You Will Get To: Define vision, strategy, and features for Zillow's Search platform and AI Collaborate with numerous partners across Search, Property data, Growth, Rental, New construction and Trulia to define and prioritize not just today's infrastructure needs but the longer term vision Champion your new ideas and features with other product leaders, design, engineering, sales, and marketing teams across Zillow. Manage project plans, schedule commitments and ensure plans are integrated and aligned to overall organizational and business strategy Communicate the team's progress and success through all levels of the company - including executives Work with highly capable developers to ship products in an agile, fast-paced environment Work with design teams to envision the future of search for real estate Use data to make decisions and are comfortable gathering it yourself or working with others. Leadership capabilities to inspire and lead the team while moving quickly to deliver on business objectives and effectively communicate across various partners. Acting as a champion for zillow mission, vision, and values and partner across the company to drive a high-performance work environment. This role has been categorized as a Remote position. "Remote" employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice which must be identified to the Company. Employees may live in any of the 50 US States, with limited exceptions. In certain cases, an employee in a remote-designated job may need to live in a specific region or time zone to support customers or clients as part of their role. In Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada and New York City the standard base pay range for this role is $157,900.00 - $252,200.00 Annually. This base pay range is specific to Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada and New York City and may not be applicable to other locations. Who you are Innovative. You have experience defining product vision and strategy. You are an expert in creating product specifications, user scenarios, and preliminary concepts. Experience as product owner for apps is desirable. Customer-oriented. Our consumers expect and deserve delightful experiences, so you should have the eye for detail that helps ensure that Highly analytical. You use data to make decisions. You know how to establish clear metrics, and report for the products that you lead. Great communication skills. Strong written and oral interpersonal skills. You are expert in drafting clear plans, establishing rhythm of operations for your team, and the right communication channels. Experience in communicating to executive leaders is a plus. Creative problem solving skills, analytical thinker and passion for new technology The ability to work in a fast-paced, agile and collaborative cross-team environment Bachelor's degree or higher (MBA or equivalent is a plus) In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location.
