Job Summary: Corporate Finance and Accounting (---CFA---) is responsible for providing complete, timely and accurate financial information and analysis to support the organization, while meeting obligations to regulators and other external stakeholders. The Process Manager in CFA is an individual contributor position who is responsible for managing processes, including coordination with CFA staff, functional divisions and business units. Depending on the needs, this position would manage relationships and processes in order to drive completion of financial reporting deliverables, lead ad hoc projects and to provide information and recommendations for strategic decision-making. In addition, this position would perform research, develop and implement new and existing procedures and improve processes. It is crucial to be able to communicate effectively with stakeholders and to clearly document analysis, conclusions and deliverables. The position has no direct reports but requires high level business acumen of subject matter area. Principal Duties & Responsibilities: Coordinates the tasks and processes of staff members and collaborates with key stakeholders across functional divisions and business units in order to successfully complete financial accounting and reporting deliverables. Develop performance measurement models, techniques, systems and tools that will enable the monitoring of business activities and ensure timely identification of accounting and financial reporting issues. Responsible for the quality, effectiveness and continual improvement of financial and accounting processes and procedures including those that are prepared by internal staff and sourcing partners. Responsible for maintaining, developing and implementing policies and processes. Initial review of financial reports, work product and project deliverables, including the authority to sign off for initial review and approval in satisfaction of control requirements as needed. Utilize quantitative and qualitative analysis to evaluate transactions or initiatives. Seek opportunities to analyze and synthesize data to inform strategic decision-making and improve processes. Work cross functionally within CFA and across functional divisions and business units to target potential improvement areas, and design and implement more efficient and effective processes and systems. Communicate conclusions and interpretations to key stakeholders across the organization including operational business units and upper-level management. Assist in special projects and implementation of new software as needed. Support ongoing relationship with reinsurers and counterparties as needed. Prepare presentations and slide deck for senior leaders and/or board of directors. Prepare internal financial reports and dashboards for senior management. Identify cost saving opportunities and provide insight into expense trends. Create and present learning materials for cross-functional knowledge sharing sessions. Job Specifications: Education : Bachelors degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Economics, or related field. Experience : 6 - 10 years financial and accounting experience or the equivalent combination of education and/or relevant experience. Experience working in financial accounting, planning and analysis, management reporting, regulatory reporting and supervisory experience, or the equivalent combination of education and/or relevant experience. Experience in a rapidly changing environment and comfortable proposing, justifying, initiating and implementing change. Experience analyzing complex transactions, processes or policies and documenting conclusion in memorandums or ad hoc deliverables. Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, IFRS, Statutory Accounting Principles, or Tax and key principles of application for a wide array of finance and accounting areas Knowledge & Skills : Requires highly developed problem solving and analytical abilities to determine business needs and provide appropriate solutions. Achieving results through others; express ideas clearly and persuasively in oral, written, and presentation forms. Strong ability to influence to achieve results. Strong PC skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) required, and experience with large ERP system preferred, Power BI or other big data analytical software a plus. The salary for employees working in Colorado in this role is listed below. The Standard---s package also includes incentive plan participation and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, retirement, and paid time off. Any award depends on various factors, including individual and organizational performance.
