telecommunications, and technology.We are seeking experienced Event
Managers to join our team remotely in the Racine/Chicago area,
Toronto, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas! The ideal candidate will
reside in these areas.As a Tradeshow/Exhibits Event Manager, you
will collaborate with the Group Account Team members to maintain
and develop plans and objectives for our client(s). In this role,
you will lead and manage the extended ASTOUND internal Operations
team on the execution of individual projects, taking responsibility
for ensuring that ASTOUND output adheres to client objectives,
meets client deadlines, and achieves ASTOUND quality standards.
MANAGER, EVENT MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist Group Account Team members in leading client
accounts/projects within the tradeshow and exhibit industry
- Maintain and stabilize Client Accounts in conjunction with
Group Account Team members up to and including $3.5million a
year
- Build and maintain effective client relationships, ensuring
that all client's needs are heard, understood, and addressed in a
timely way
- Proactively contribute ideas to projects and regularly make
recommendations to client contact and Account Leaders on how to
improve a project or program
- Participate in new business opportunities as requested
(research, preparation for & participation in pitches)
- Own master timelines and project plans (externally and
internally); communicate action items to all stakeholders and
monitor adherence to deadlines
- Lead client calls & internal meetings
- Ensure clear communication with the client regarding roles and
responsibilities, scope, budget, schedules, and project status/
action items
- Manage & delegate to additional Operations Team members where
appropriate which includes but is not limited to the
following:
- Property and graphic inventories
- Job process issues
- Show site expectations
- Quality/expectation
- Pricing/billing
- Overall management of information to Project Management and
operational departments as needed through launch meetings and
status meetings
- Take ultimate responsibility that client deliverables &
deadlines are met BUDGET MANAGEMENT
- Work with the Estimation team to solidify project budgets in
conjunction with the Group Account Team members to provide
proposals to clients
- Invoice client projects assigned in a timely manner
- Track and create change orders for all items outside of the
original scope of sign-off and invoice out to clients as
required
- Follow up directly with the client, as required, to resolve
unpaid invoices in a timely fashion
- Create, maintain, reconcile & invoice projects within 45 days
of the project end date CREATIVE MANAGEMENT
- Participate actively and manage internal client brainstorming
sessions with Group Account Team members by offering ideas for
projects
- Communicate client needs to the creative team and creative
ideas to the client
- Ensure creative deliverables meet client needs and are
completed on time and on budget MANAGER, EVENT MANAGEMENT
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5 years of experience with an exhibit company directly within
in the tradeshow industry
- Demonstrated Event Management competencies: client focus,
developing others, accountability for results, attention to detail,
flexibility, and team effectiveness
- Demonstrate understanding and advocacy for clients' businesses
and needs
- Must be able to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and be
flexible in working on multiple projects simultaneously
- Willingness to travel within North America and overseas as
needed
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite software
- Salesforce expertise is an asset but not required
- Positive attitude and ability to work in teamsBENEFITS AND
