Job Description:

Siemens Building Technologies is seeking a Project Manager to support our Building Automation Solutions Group in Eugene, OR. This position is responsible for managing multiple projects from pre-booking to customer acceptance. This includes the supervision, direction, and motivation of the project team during planning, estimating, design, installation, start-up, commissioning, turnover and warranty phases. + Communicatethe company's core value of safety and project-specific safety requirements,goals, and objectives + ManageProfit & Loss in assigned projects and monthly financial reviewmeetings. + Drivecustomer satisfaction + Reports to Eugene Operations Manager **Responsibilities** + Workwith external parties and customers Superintendents, Foremen, and Journeymen toplan, organize, and direct activities concerned with assignedprojects. + Establishproject objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards withinboundaries of company policy and contract specifications. + Coordinatewith engineering and technicians supervisors to discuss such matters as workprocedures, scope-and-scheduling and work sequence, project-specific safetyplans, etc. + Initiateand maintain liaison with owners and other contacts to facilitate projectactivities. + Monitorand control project through administrative direction of on-site personnel toensure project is completed on schedule and within budget. + Representthe company in project meetings and attend strategy meetings. + Workwith our internal Financial Business Administration (FBA) team to managefinancial aspects of contracts to protect companys interest and simultaneouslymaintain good relationship with the customer. + Managethe requisition of supplies and materials to complete project. + Interpretand explain plans and contract terms to administrative staff, workers, andclients. + Formulatereports concerning such areas as work progress, costs, andscheduling. + Workwith engineers to produce shop drawings and all projectdeliverables. + Communicateeffectively with customers/contractors during the project. + Manageprojects to ensure the established budgets are met and ensure products aremanufactured to customer specifications. + Developproject schedules in compliance with customer requirements, deadlines, and/ormilestones; develop mechanisms to track schedule progress in the field; andupdate the schedule regularly. + Collaboratewith our sales team and the customer to identify any variances from the baselineand determine appropriate course of action to remedy any scheduleslippage. + Communicateschedule updates and any schedule slippage remedies to the customer and gainapproval including any compensation component. + Maintainopen communication with the customer and discuss potential futureprojects. + Provideforecasts to the customer and participate in forecast/budget meetings asrequired. + Developproject budget based on the estimate/proposal including the budget breakdown bytask and appropriate tracking units and develop cost codes fortasks/units. + Collaboratewith our Project Procurement Team to manage RFPs for subcontractors, reviewsubcontractor proposals for completeness and scope coverage, furnish informationto complete subcontract agreements including scope of work, pricing, andcustomer-specific requirements. + Negotiate and approve subcontract scope changes in accordance with allcustomer contract requirements (i.e. the prime contract conditions which flowthough the subcontract). **Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, andExperience** + High school diploma or GED + 10%-15%Travel + 3+ years Project Management experience either as a primary role or imbedded activities in a relatable role (ie project engineer, project coordinator, operations management) in the construction or mechanical industry. + Abilityto read and understand construction drawings, including mechanical andelectrical drawings + Proficiencywith Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, andOutlook + Musthave strong verbal and written skills in English + QualifiedApplicants must be legally authorized for employment in the Unites States, andwill not require employer sponsored work authorization now or in the future foremployment in the United States. + Individual must possess a valid Driver's license in good standing, andmust be at least 21 years of age in order to participate in the required Siemensvehicle plan. **Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, andExperience** + Preferrededucation: Bachelor's Degree with PMP Certification + Preferred experience: Experience supervising, directing, and motivatingprofessional teams (this will be crucial to managing the project with fieldlabor, subcontractors, and vendors during project delivery phase includinginstallation, start-up, commissioning, andturnover). **WhySiemens?** + Siemensis a globally diversified engineering powerhouse: an opportunity such as thisone can open doors to engineering practices and businesses new to you, preparingyou for a great future with potential in so many types of fieldssustainability,energy, medical technologies, to name a fewin almost any location you everdreamed of exploring. + Competitivecompensation. + Excellenthealth, dental, and vision plans with many options from which tochoose. + Allemployees receive Life Insurance, Short and Long-Term Disabilitycoverage. + 401kmatch dollar for dollar up to 6% of gross salary. + Educationand tuition reimbursement programs available. + Extensiveproduct training and professional career development. **Siemens Smart Infrastructure(SI)** is shaping the market for intelligent, adaptive infrastructure for today and the future.
