The entire career path wage ranges from $17.81-22.32. Certified MAs who have 0-5 years of experience can make between $17.81-20.29 to start. If you are a Senior Certified MA with more than 5 years of experience, our wages range from $20.76-22.32 to start. As an MA you will serve patients and the provider by gathering and maintaining medical information and developing patient rapport and understanding in a continued effort to ensure our patients receive the best possible care day in and day out.Successful candidates must have or be able to achieve certification from the AAMA, NCCT or RMA within 60 days of hire.We have multiple positions available in our clinics in a variety of specialties, as well as experienced MAs who will Float between clinics. We also have positions available in our Medical Assistant Call Center.All positions are located on property in Eugene/Springfield and employees must be fully vaccinated. Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time. Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 100 pounds. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Requires working under stressful conditions or working irregular hours. Requires exposure to communicable diseases and fluids.TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Although a safety first work environment, employees in the position have potential exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medicinal preparations and other conditions common to a clinic environment.EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:
      • Prepares patients for examination and treatment and documents chief complaints.
      • Obtains patient histories and vital signs and records accurately in the Electronic Medical Record.
      • Assists with patient exams, procedures and collection of specimens as assigned.
      • Retrieves laboratory and radiology test results and instructs patients regarding medications and treatment per physician's instructions.
      • Understands and interprets current immunization schedule. Administers injections safely.
      • Stocks supplies and prepares exam rooms and instruments for examinations, testing or minor surgeries.
      • Responds to incoming phone calls and refers if necessary. Calls patients as necessary to follow up and/or schedule appointments.
      • Perform other duties as assigned.________________________________________________________CALL CENTER:TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Requires sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time and some bending, stooping and stretching. Requires hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary for the operation of basic office equipment such as computer terminal and telephone. May require lifting up to 25 pounds. Requires hearing in normal acuity range and eyesight correctable to 20/20. Must have adequate manual dexterity to write legibly and perform required procedures. Requires the ability to work quickly under stress.TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is performed in centralized office environment; involving contact with patients via phone. Work may be stressful at times. Interaction with others is constant and interruptive.EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:
        • Responds to incoming phone calls and desktop items and refers if necessary. Calls patients as directed by the provider and/or as necessary to follow up and/or schedule appointments.
        • Obtains patient histories, medications, immunizations and other data in the Electronic Medical Record.
        • Retrieves laboratory and radiology test results and instructs patients regarding medications and treatment per provider's instructions.
        • Understands and follows the approved prescription refill workflow and documentation requirements. Communicates directly with provider for any refills that need provider input, or that do not meet the workflow requirements.
        • Understands and interprets current immunization schedule.
        • Perform other duties as assigned.
          Required Experience:
          EDUCATION: Equivalent of a high school diploma. Must have graduated or will graduate soon from an accredited Medical Assistant school/program.EXPERIENCE: None required. Two to three years of relevant experience preferred.CERTIFICATION/LICENSE: Certification from the AAMA, NCCT or RMA required or the ability to obtain certification within 60 days of hire date. Healthcare provider level CPR certification required.Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential requirement of this role.
