    Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
    Emergence is excited to announce a new integrated care center that specializes in LGBTQIA+ care! We are partnering with TransPonder to open a center that offers mental health, harm reduction and abstinence addiction recovery, medication-assisted treatment, peer support, resource navigation, neurofeedback, psychiatric medication management, and a part-time primary care doctor all in one place. This program will be incubated under Emergence while TransPonder's Behavioral Health Program gets certified with the state. Come join Lane County's first LGBTQIA+ integrated clinic!
    Emergence is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with a passion for serving the LBGTQIA+ community to provide direction and services to the clients we serve. You will be responsible for evaluating clients, prescribing appropriate medications, and ensuring staff receive the proper education as it pertains to our clients, and that our clients receive appropriate care to achieve their recovery goals.       RELOCATION ASSISTANCE OR HIRING BONUS!
      Hiring Bonus: $3,500!

      • $1,500 on your first regular paycheck, $2,000 after 6 months.

        • Candidates hired outside of Oregon will receive a relocation stipend equal to one month's salary on their first regular paycheck, with a reimbursement clause if employment is terminated.

            Duties and Responsibilities:

            • Responsible for evaluation of new clients and re-evaluation of current clients for initiation, alteration. or continuation of medications.
            • Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications.
            • Order and interpret relevant diagnostic tests and screenings.
            • Develop treatment plans with clients.
            • Provide psycho-education related to treatment of diagnosis of mental illness.
            • Consult with third party payers or subsequent prescribers/treatment providers at other agencies as needed.
            • Be available for evaluation and consultation in areas of clarification of diagnosis or complications due to medical problems.
            • Provide psycho-education and in-service training to staff as needed.

              Education and Experience:

              • MS Nursing degree with a specialty in Psychiatry and background in work with patients with mental health disorders.

                Certification:

                • Oregon Nurse Practitioner License
                • Oregon Registered Nurse License

                  Knowledge:

                  • Principles of effective medical, pharmacologic and mental health treatment and evidence-based practice
                  • Familiarity with substance abuse disorders preferred

                    Skills:

                    • Proficient use of computers and other electronic devices
                    • Electronic Records use, storage and transfer in accordance with HIPAA regulations
                    • Medicaid/Medicare clinical review experience.

                      Abilities:

                      • Ability to interact positively with individuals in services, other medical providers, Executive Director and Mental Health Program Director.
                      • Ability to make effective recommendations regarding client care.
                      • Ability to listen, motivate, communicate clearly and in a manner accessible to staff and clients via written comments in the clinical record and via writing and other media with other medical professionals.
