Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Behavioral Health Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 1 year License: Registered Nurse Certifications: BLS Must-Have: Experience with geriatric and psychiatric patients preferred, able to redirect and de-escalate patients. Description: 60-bed acute-care, full-service facility. Fully accredited by The Joint Commission. Certified as an accredited Chest Pain Center. 24-hour Emergency Department. The facility is located in a budding wine country destination. Enjoy unique experiences such as vineyard tours and local microbreweries. Foraging for Oregon truffles is an option. Take a "Top Chef" food tour of the region. Explore the beauty of the surroundings, including the Cascade foothills. Experience the history and natural beauty, including covered bridges. Fishing opportunities available in the nearby river. Local shops and spas offer additional relaxation options. The unit consists of 10 beds with a patient ratio of 1:5. The staffing typically includes 2 nurses, one CNA, and one Milieu staff each shift. The unit is equipped with ligature-reduced safety features. Documentation is conducted using Meditech. Three 12-hour night shifts are required per week, along with four weekend days per month. Floating is needed occasionally but not frequently. Psych experience is preferred for enhancing patient experience. Advanced skills such as safety rounding and facilitating therapeutic groups are necessary. The dress code allows for scrubs of your choice. Seasoned staff with extensive psychiatric experience are available to support new hires. Expansion plans are in development for an additional unit.
