We are seeking a passionate and mission-driven House Monitor to
help expand the impact of Shepherd’s House Ministries across all
sites and advance this life-changing work. This position is
responsible for Assisting the Men’s Center Manager with House
Coordination, in order that the Men’s Center remains a place that
is safe, hospitable, and healthy for staff and residents. Strategic
Work Expectations: Shall strive for and embody honesty, compassion,

and self-awareness. Will work towards having a teachable spirit and
a willingness to learn. Mentor and support residents as they work
together on chores, house duties, and throughout the program
Technical Work Expectations: Safety, Compliance, and Facility
Oversight Manage OSHA compliance and maintain safety standards for
the home. Conduct regular safety inspections, dorm inspections
maintain all necessary documentation. Communicate promptly with
leadership about facility or maintenance concerns. Monitors safety
and security of the premises. Enforce bed bug prevention and
treatment policies, ensuring resident cooperation and home
cleanliness. If staff is uncompliant, House Monitor should alert
leadership. Oversee household systems and ensure a welcoming,
organized, and hygienic environment. Assists SHM Facilities team
with property needs – snow plowing, landscaping, as needed.
Transportation Coordination: Coordinate transportation needs for
residents, working with staff and volunteers to ensure safety and
reliability. Facilitate and support the transportation of food,
supplies and donations, as needed. Resident Support and Community
Life: Work closely with the Men’s Center team to address resident
concerns, behavioral issues, and well-being. Be available for
prayer, spiritual support, and meaningful conversation with
residents and staff. Facilitate regular drug and alcohol testing
for residents, maintaining confidentiality and accuracy. Develop a
chore schedule, making assignments, and holding accountability,
with the support and assistance of leadership, if needed. This
includes all resident chores, including front desk staff. Provides
a welcoming environment, greeting all visitors and checking all in
and out. Events and Program Support: Assist the team in the
execution of special events, celebrations, and outreach efforts
that enhance program life and community engagement.

Communicate in a way that reflects positively on Shepherd’s House
Ministries, coming to leadership with specific needs or concerns.
Meet with supervisor on a regular scheduled basis for continued
collaboration, growth, accountability, and priority setting. Agrees
and abides by Employee Handbook, acting in accordance with SHM
policies Spiritual & Professional Qualities: Ability to remain
flexible and adapt well. Work well in a team environment and be
able to accept input as well as supervisory guidance. Able and
willing to interact with shelter guests in a compassionate and
respectful manner. Knowledgeable and empathetic to the needs of the
poor and suffering. Able to maintain a positive, professional,
Christ-like manner with all donors, staff, guests, and volunteers.
Qualifications: A personal commitment to Christian faith and
alignment with the organization’s mission, values, and faith
practices. Experience in residential, recovery, or faith-based
program environments preferred. Strong leadership and mentoring
abilities. Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and
communication skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality,
emotional boundaries, and professionalism in all interactions.
Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license. CPR/First Aid
certification (or willingness to obtain). Working Conditions: This
position involves direct engagement with residents and staff in a
home-based environment. Occasional evenings, weekends, and on-call
availability may be required. Position requires driving frequently,
primarily within the greater Central Oregon Requires extended
periods of sitting and standing Lifting up to 25 lbs – occasionally
