August 2026 for the 2026-27 school year Population-based, training
of staff, development of health plans, reviewing records, calls
with medical providers and parents, consulting with staff,
monitoring of students, and some travel to other locations, but
primarily at the Early Childhood Center in Salem. 190-day contract
Minimum Requirements: *24-hour-a-week availability and willing to
travel to patient homes as a part of an assessment team* Licensed
RN. Must have a BS (BSN preferred), Audiometry, and a Public Health
Nurse (PHN) Certificate, and be eligible for a California School
Nurse Services Credential. Qualifications: • Valid School Nurse
Services Credential or the ability to apply for a credential at the
time of hire • This position requires knowledge of the California
State Preschool Programs, Public Education, Special Education, and
Community Health Systems. • Knowledge of Applicable Federal, State,
and Local Health and Safety Laws, Regulations, and Guidelines. •
Must possess oral and written communication skills and the ability
to operate computer systems. • The ability to plan, organize, and
schedule duties effectively. Work independently with little
direction. • Detailed records and prepared reports. • Establish and
maintain effective working relationships with others. • Be an
advocate for the overall health and well-being of the “whole child”
in the Early Childhood community. • Maintain ambulatory ability to
walk and stand for extended periods of time. • Hand-eye
coordination and manipulative skills to perform precise
examinations, tests, and treatments to student patients. • The
ability to perform infrequent lifting and moving of light to
moderately heavy (less than 40 pounds) objects. • Visual acuity is
needed to read and observe symptoms. Job Details: Administer
