Job Description:
At Epic Special Education Staffing, we are seeking a dedicated
Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) who is enthusiastic about
supporting children with special needs in educational settings.
This position can be fulfilled onsite or in a hybrid setting,
giving you flexibility in your work environment. As an SLP, you
will provide evaluations, assessments and speech therapy services
to students with various communication disorders and play a crucial
role in their academic and social development. You will work
collaboratively with educators, parents, and other professionals to
create comprehensive support plans tailored to individual student
needs. Assess and evaluate student speech and language skills and
challenges using appropriate tools and protocols. Develop and
implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each child's
needs. Provide direct therapy based on the IEP goals and
professional best practices. Collaborate with teachers, parents,
and other school staff to integrate speech therapy with educational
objectives. Maintain accurate records and documentation of
sessions, progress reports, and treatment plans. Participate in IEP
meetings, offering insights and adjustments to speech therapy goals
as needed. Educate school staff and parents on ways to support the
communication skills of the children. Proficiency in various speech
therapy techniques and assessments Solid understanding of IEP
process and special education regulations Strong interpersonal and
communication skills Ability to work flexibly in onsite or hybrid
environments Critical thinking and problem-solving skills Medical
Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k ASHA Certification
(CCC-SLP) State licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist CPR and
First Aid Certification (preferred)
