Our team of experienced analysts ensure that content is both current and accurate. Our system operators actively participate in an organized network that collaborates with intoCareers to set research and development objectives, achieve common goals, and share creative strategies. intoCareers licenses its products to state entities such as education agencies, offices of postsecondary education, and departments of labor. These entities create localized versions of the CIS to support career development programs in their respective states. intoCareers experienced staff provide full-lifecycle support to assure quality implementation of CIS. From training and support to curriculum and consulting, intoCareers is a trusted non-profit partner dedicated to helping partners and licensees succeed. Position Summary intoCareers is seeking to fill two Software Developer positions. The Software Developers will develop and support internet-delivered educational applications for career exploration and planning. Applications developed by the Software Developers are distributed nationally across intoCareers' client base and are used widely by students and adults making important decisions about their futures. Applications include programs under the product umbrella of The Career Information System (CIS), an enterprise scalable software solution customized to the career development needs of specific user groups. Reporting to the Senior Software Engineer, these positions will work primarily with intoCareers staff but may also work with developers at partner organizations. In addition, the Software Developers may occasionally confer with staff at state agencies or educational organizations which license CIS products. Decisions made by these positions will affect coworkers on the project team, as well as the usability and security of products used nationwide. The positions' primary responsibilities are: developing and documenting web applications; assessing applicability of new software frameworks, design patterns, and libraries to existing and new code and developing and maintaining databases and stored procedures. Minimum Requirements This classification requires a basic foundation of knowledge and skills in systems analysis and related programming support functions generally obtained by a bachelor's degree in computer science, or an equivalent amount of training and applied experience. Professional Competencies Advanced knowledge of web technologies (HTML, CSS, jQuery, etc.). Advanced knowledge of a modern front-end framework like Angular and/or Windows ******* and C#. Advanced knowledge of relational databases like SQL Server and/or a NoSQL database like MongoDB. Ability to implement coding conventions, security best practices, and deployment lifecycles in a distributed development environment. Ability and willingness to maintain competency with latest technology and online software and database development practices. Ability to perform data-driven troubleshooting of issues and proactively find and implement solutions to problems. Ability to work both independently and in teams, providing and receiving peer review of code and design patterns. Ability to navigate multiple projects and deadlines with competing priorities through proactive and clear communication with supervisor and product managers. Preferred Qualifications Experience integrating modern front-end frameworks, such as Angular, into *******. Experience developing and supporting multi-tenant RESTful APIs. Experience with SQL Server database development, including stored procedures, triggers, reporting servers and ETL processes. Experience with integration services, such as social media single sign, Google APIs, etc. Experience with deployment methodologies, such as Azure or Docker containers.
