Contributing to the next generation of DD RAID used in high performance and highly reliable Data Protection Storage solutions.You will:Design and maintain Data Backup and Protection Storage products to support existing and new customer use cases in software RAID and storage IO stackDefine, architect, implement and support large and complex modules in the Software RAID/Storage Pool layerDeliver Design and Functional specificationsParticipate in all phases of the development cycleAnalyze and improve system performanceProvide accurate and detailed schedule estimates for development effortsInterface with other functional areas such as Support, QA, and Product ManagementInteract with customers to help understand requirements as well as troubleshoot and solve complex problemsDevelop and review unit test procedures and work closely with QA to develop system integration test plansTake the first step towards your dream careerEvery Dell Technologies team member brings something unique to the table. Here's what we are looking for with this role:Essential RequirementsStrong skills in system programming, memory management, multi-core, distributed programming, synchronization, data structures and algorithms; background in designing scalable, high performance productsIndustry experience developing device drivers and working with RAID, SAS and other storage technologiesExperience in Linux/FreeBSD/Unix; systems programming in CUnderstanding of kernel internals; designing, implementing and debugging at Kernel levelExperience in File System internals, Data Structures and Algorithms.Ability to thrive in a fast paced, self-directed environment.Ability to work with minimal supervision and efficiently handle multiple projects with shifting prioritiesBS with 8+ years relevant experience OR MS with 6+ years OR PhD with 3+ yearsDesirable RequirementsExcellent Linux diagnostic and troubleshooting skillsTechniques to scale algorithms without loss of performance.Experience with Agile software development methodologiesBroad understanding of Linux and Linux kernel internalsExperience in Python programmingStrong verbal and written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skillsHere's our story; now tell us yoursDell Technologies helps organizations and individuals build a brighter digital tomorrow.
