Voicebot/Chatbot Developer
100% Remote
6 month contract +

Project Scope: Planning to write key functionality within the existing IVR -- typical mission that takes in human input - BOTS are the next version of this to integrate with the telephony channel.

• 
  
• Bot 1 - Takes drug names from callers to refill / add to cart - IVR uses it as a self-service. (thinking about cart process for the future, like Amazon)
  
• Bot 2 - Benefits bot that provides benefit info based on their plan / coverage.
  
• Others would be a payment bot for balances / prescriptions, also can add cards / wallets.
  
  
  "Self-service" - refill is the largest use case
  
  Multi-language (Spanish is secondary)
  
  Team Size & Breakdown: Teams are siloed by LOB and vary in size (Client, QAs and Designers on each team)
  
  Development Methodology: Agile - 2 week sprints
  
  High-Level Individual Duties:
  
  • 
    
  • Started by building SDK bots (pure NodeJS) deployed on Azure -- moved to building composer bots
    
  • Composer bots have features and don't require you to write all of the code (underlying), just building components on top of it. Does requires HTTP call experience / invoking it specifically + configuring the backend URLs.
    
    • 
      
    • Adding features / creating BOTs, actions and other custom components
      
      
      
    • Design, development and testing of large scale chatbot/voice bot solutions in the technical environment of -, REST api ,Troubleshooting App services.
      
    • Work with business owners to map business requirements into technical solutions.
      
    • Basic testing
      
      
      Must-Haves (Concepts & Tools):
      
      • 
        
      • Different Chatbot frameworks - Azure Bot Service is the main, but they want to see breadth and depth like Watson etc.
        
        
      • Bot Framework Composer (IDE) to hook to other Azure cognitive services i.e. QnA Maker, LUIS, Azure cognitive services, text analytics, sentiment analysis etc.
        
      • They are not building the cognitive Client models, but they need to be knowledgeable
        
        • 
          
        • Custom Language Understanding is where they are going in 2023
          
          
          
        • Ability to integrate the bots into other systems - SMS etc.
          
        • Telephony requires audio porting experience (just needs a high-level)
          
          
          
        • NodeJS / JavaScript (Typescript would be really nice---they don't use it extensively, but they do use it)
          
        • Query languages KQL (Azure Data Explorer) - just need the basics
          
        • Azure experience - they should have experience with it if they are using Azure Bot Services
          
        • Conversational Design experience - looking for people who can make improvements
          
        • Basic DevOps knowledge - handled mainly by another team
