Job OverviewVehicles are among the most complex software-intensive systems in existence, containing hundreds of embedded computers (e.g., ECUs, HPCs), hundreds of systems (e.g. recharging, infotainment, lighting), and hundreds of software features. Each vehicle that is sold must have its hardware and software precisely configured according to the brand, trim-level, regulations of country in which it is sold, and other considerations.The Software-Driven Experience (SWX) group is currently developing a state-of-the-art software platform that will be deployed on all Stellantis vehicles going forward. To manage the variation and complexity of the software, a Product Line Engineering (PLE) approach is being used. A Software Product Line Engineer is a core member in supporting PLE for SWX. They will support deploying PLE across a diverse organization and across a diverse set of tools across the software development process. The Product Line Engineer's impact will enable the deployment of correct software onto Stellantis vehicles, while minimizing the complexity of engineering artifacts (requirements, architecture, etc.), and ultimately reducing software complexity.This position is remote in Canada or USA. It will entail working in a very global environment interacting with people in North America, Europe, Asia, etc. ResponsibilitiesThe responsibilities of the Software Product Line Engineer include but are not limited to the following:Be part of a team that deploys the Pure-Systems pure: variants PLE management software across the global SWX team and support the use of the softwareDefine processes and methods for effectively using pure: variants for managing variation in requirements, software models, code, test suites, calibration sets, and other engineering artifactsInteract with Pure-Systems consultants to problem-solve integrations between pure: variants and the existing SWX toolchainEOE/Disability/VeteranPDN-9921374f-728c-4799-a816-9331c1a71e7a
