Job Description:

We are looking for a briefing attorney. Someone who is a legal professional who is responsible for researching and analyzing cases and legal issues, and then preparing written briefs and other documents to present the findings to a judge or other legal authority. The job typically involves reviewing and analyzing relevant case law and statutes, researching legal issues, and drafting legal briefs, motions, and other documents. The briefing attorney may also be responsible for attending court hearings and conferences, and working with other members of the legal team to prepare for trial. Strong research, writing, and analytical skills are essential for this role, as well as knowledge of legal research tools and databases. A law degree is typically required for this position.

--- Researching and analyzing legal issues: This includes reviewing case law and statutes, identifying relevant precedents, and determining the appropriate legal arguments to make.
--- Drafting legal briefs and other documents: This includes preparing written arguments, motions, and other legal documents to present to a judge or other legal authority.
--- Attending court hearings and conferences: This includes representing the legal team in court and participating in conferences with other attorneys and legal staff.
--- Collaborating with other legal staff: This includes working with other attorneys, paralegals, and other legal staff to prepare for trial and to develop legal strategy.
--- Keeping abreast of legal developments: This includes staying current with legal developments and changes in the law that may affect the cases being handled by the legal team.
--- Providing legal advice and guidance to clients, as needed.
--- Ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
--- Keeping accurate records and documentation of all case-related activities.

--- A law degree from an accredited law school.
--- Admittance to the Texas bar association, and in good standing.
--- Strong research, writing, and analytical skills, as well as attention to detail
--- Knowledge of legal research tools and databases, as well as legal citation and formatting.
--- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as ability to work well in a team
--- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
--- Ability to work with clients and provide guidance and support
--- Professionalism, integrity and ethical behavior are essential.
--- Familiarity with consumer law.
--- Knowledge of the federal rules of civil procedure.
