X Yes NoConfidentiality Agreement Required X Yes NoEmployment Verification X Yes NoRequired to travel in-state or out of state X Yes NoEducation Verification X Yes NoGeneral Description Brief description of the job to be performed.Clients referred to the FAIR program are referred for co-occurring substance abuse, mental health problems, and child neglect. Clients have either active use or recent remission of substance abuse. Substances most frequently seen are methamphetamine and/or opiates. All applicants must feel comfortable with providing services to individuals with this presentation in the home and community settings. Daily expectations are to conduct treatment sessions out-of-the-office across Lane County. Many sessions involve family members (including children of different ages) and social supports (both prosocial and deviant). Successful applicants will feel comfortable working with a range of family types.Job TasksEssential Job Tasks to be performed (with or without reasonable accommodation).* Follows standardized protocol for conducting treatment with parents and families* Conducts individual, family, and couples therapy with parents using Parent Management Training and child neglect treatment, substance abuse treatment and relapse prevention planning using behavioral interventions including frequent monitored urinalysis and contingency management, mental health treatment using cognitive-behavioral and behavioral approaches and collaboration with medication providers* Treatment is conducted in the home and community settings. Some clients are homeless and their "home" environment is variable.* Treatment involves providing client transportation for case management appointments and other treatment needs* Case management includes participating in child welfare meetings, court appearances, medical/mental health appointments, connecting clients with resources as needed, supervising parent-child visits* Responsible for developing comprehensive mental health assessments and treatment plans,* Responsible for timely documentation of progress notes, treatment plans, and monthly treatment updates to child welfare. Given the population, charts are frequently subpoenaed-attention to documentation is essential.* Participates in 24 hour on-call availability for clients* Attends weekly clinical group supervision in addition to individual supervision* Performs other related duties as required* Must have a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor certificate or be willing to obtain one within the first year of employment.* Able to perform sessions using virtual technology and coach clients in use of virtual technology.* Adheres to COVID-19 protocols and supplies provided by the program.RequirementsKnowledge, skills, experience, education or training needed to perform job.* Master's degree with 3 years course work in Counseling, Marriage and Family, Clinical Psychology, or Social Work or a related mental health field required* Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) or equivalent preferred* QMHP eligible required* Experience with intake assessments or clinical treatment planning formulation required* Experience with a behavioral approach to treatment required* Experience treating families required* Experience implementing evidence-based or protocol-driven treatment preferred* Experience with the administrative components of treatment (case documentation) required* Demonstrated ability to work as part of a treatment team* Valid driver's license, reliable car, and adequate automobile liability insurance required* Must meet any required state certification or licensing criteria* Ability to be on-call 24/7 required* Ability to be available for flexible scheduling around client needs required* Preference to applicants bilingual in English and Spanish, but not requiredTraits needed to perform job.* Must be comfortable working with clients in their homes and in the community-home environments could potentially be in low-income and high crime areas* Must be comfortable driving clients in the community* Must be comfortable discussing sensitive topics regarding substance use, criminal activity, mental health functioning, exposure to traumatic experiences, and parenting.* Must be flexible in working with a population that has a history of poor follow-through with appointments; persistence is key.* Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.* Ability to attend to a high level of detail and multiple tasks on a day-to-day basis.* Ability to take the initiative to accomplish project tasks as needed and to apply skills and knowledge to new applications.* Ability to work in team environment, requiring participatory decision-making/cooperative interactions among employees.* Ability to perform work with general direction on routine work and more detailed instruction on new assignments.* Ability to receive direction from multiple supervisors and effectively prioritize tasks.* Willingness to collaborate with supervisor on case goals and integrate suggestions into treatment planning* Ability to work independently at times with minimal supervision.* Ability to manage own workload.* Ability to exercise judgment within generally defined practices and policies. Will regularly make independent decisions without existing methods and procedures.* Ability to be flexible in regard to work schedule.Physical Demands* Ability to interpret spoken and written communication in English.* Ability to effectively communicate verbally in English or the ability to effectively communicate non-verbally in English with reasonable accommodation.* Ability to visually observe and interpret data contained on written forms or in computer files.* Ability to sit for periods of time (3-4 hours).* Ability to type or otherwise input data into a PC.* Ability to lift boxes and stacks of documents. Policy must carry liability insurance of no less than $300,000 combined single limit or $300,000 personal injury and $100,000 property damage limits.* Employee must have and maintain a driving record that is within the parameters set by ODI's current liability insurance carrier.* Employee will use own personal transportation for local travel.* Employee may use rental cars when deemed more efficient for long distance travel.Standard Expectations for person performing the job.* Must be able to pass a background check to maintain position.* After completion of 90-day training period you must be able to keep up with the average time and accuracy allowed for a full caseload.
