Job Description:

This is how the Manufacturing Quality Engineer contributes to the team:Develops, evaluates revises, and applies technical quality assurance protocols/methods to inspect and test in-process raw materials and finished products. Ensures activities and items are in compliance with both company quality assurance standards. Performs analysis and identifies trends in the inspection of finished products, in-process materials, bulk raw materials, and escaped quality issues; recommends corrective actions when necessary. Ensures that established manufacturing inspection, sampling and statistical process control procedures are followed. May assure compliance to in-house and/or external specifications and standards, such as GMPs and ISO standards. Evaluates and analyzes the efforts in organizing, documenting, and interpreting inspection support documents and records. Manages and administers company quality management system.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Includes the following, other duties may be assigned:Overall quality assurance for products. Includes first article inspections for initial units off of the line, RCCA on audit findings, and facilitating actions based on critical quality eventsSupports and strengthens the QMS system by leading internal audits, maintaining documentation, and supporting regulatory auditsAble to complete, and managed to validation RC, & CA, of CAP (Corrective Action Process)Ensures process and product quality metrics are established and trackedProvide metrics and reports that support the site and groupIdentify and drive cross functional quality initiatives for the siteDevelops, evaluates, revises, and applies technical quality assurance protocols/methods to inspect and test in-process raw materials, production equipment, and finished productsEnsures activities and items are in compliance with both company quality assurance standards and applicable government regulationsDirects analysis and identification of trends in the inspection of finished products, in-process materials and bulk raw materials, and recommends corrective actions when necessaryEnsures that established manufacturing inspection, sampling and statistical process control procedures are followedMay assure compliance to in-house and/or external specifications and standards, such as ISO regulationsEvaluates and analyzes the efforts in organizing, documenting, and interpreting inspection support documents and recordsAnalyzes RC and directs implementation of CA for escaped quality issues (warranty)QUALIFICATIONS Problem-solving, attention to detail, organizational, and communications skills; manual dexterity and familiarity with quality testing tools and procedures.Prefer certifications in ISO , 14001:2015 Auditor, Lead Auditor, American Society for Quality (ASQ), QMS, GMP, Process Validation, & Risk ManagementFamiliarity with machining, fabrication and electronics product process assembly.Familiarity and experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC), Design of Experiments (DOE), Testing and Sampling Plans, analyzing data, and presenting recommendations for CI opportunitiesComputer Skills: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, Access)EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEBachelor degree in an engineering discipline (industrial, manufacturing, or mechanical) +1 year work experience or +5 years' experience in quality related position (manufacturing environment).
