We stand by our commitment to being an equal opportunity, affirmative action organization, and recognize and celebrate our unique backgrounds and diverse experiences.IN THIS ROLE YOU WILLYou will determine eligibility for programs provided by Self Sufficiency, which include Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF), and Employment Related Day Care (ERDC).Interview applicants in person, by phone, or in applicant's home to gather information needed to assess and determine if there is a need for services and benefits.You will carry and maintain an on-going case load of customers needing to obtain/maintain employment which may consist of, completing predetermination of eligibility forms for all programs when appropriate. Complete field visits and home intakes within established guidelines. Work with other agencies, medical providers, and other community resources to provide benefits and services to customers. Follow up on significant changes that affect an increase or decrease in money payments. Write up over payment information with necessary fraud referral made to the investigator. Prepare and submit ongoing reports.Work is conducted in offices, virtual environment, customers' homes, and other program sites. Work can require travel, including overnight. Employee has contact with a range of people including some exhibiting anger and frustration. The work schedule for this position will be determined by business need. Also based on business need, this position may be relocated to other offices or to out stationed sites within the district. Limited physical exertion. May require sitting at a terminal or telephone for prolonged periods of the workday.
