The primary purpose of this job is to oversee the daily operations of the Collateral and Insurance teams and the day to day activities of Collateral Administrators and Insurance Processors. This role will guide staff in analyzing complex titling and insurance issues, assignment of duties, and ensuring the acceptability of collateral and insurance documentation. The incumbent may perform the duties of the Senior Manager, Collateral & Insurance Administration in the manager's absence. This is not intended to be an all-inclusive list of job duties and the position will perform other duties as assigned.Supervise a team of Administrators and Processors daily to include establishing goals, priorities and expected performance levels. Assign, plan and monitor work to ensure production is complete by determined deadlines. Supervise staff members to ensure production is complete by determined deadlines.Administer stated objectives, goals and performance standards for Administrators and Processors in assigned team and assist in ensuring that goals are met or exceeded.Support, mentor and coach team members in both professional development and productivity goals.Conduct performance evaluations; identify and address issues with employees, undertaking disciplinary action as required. Collaborate with the Senior Manager, Collateral & Insurance Administration regarding hiring, staffing, disciplinary action and training for department team members.Interact and engage with vendors, members, and various state departments of motor vehicle agencies to resolve and improve procedures, policies and protocols. Review daily departmental challenges and exceptions to policy.Provide training and guidance to ensure new products, procedures, and guidelines are properly communicated.Ensure all escalated member-related issues and concerns are rectified in a timely manner.Remain current on all new and current system functions such as but not limited to: Dealertrack Title Management System, Allied Solutions CenterPoint and Sales Force CRM. Remain current on all collateral-related issues, to include but not limited to: releasing titles for registration, owner name change, titling in a different state, payoff/lien release requirements, change in ownership requirements of state agency and PenFed. Remain current on all insurance-related issues, to include but not limited to: Collateral Protection Insurance, Guaranteed Asset Protection and extended warranty processes. Utilize knowledge of DealerTrack Title Management System (TMS) title system and collateral functions performed by vendor and PenFed to vendor conversion process. Work with training staff to develop collateral and insurance training materials to ensure adequate initial and on-going training of all member service staff.Plan and organize staff huddles.Act on exceptions to policy, fee waivers, and refunds fees within delegated authority.Conduct quality reviews of assigned staff and assists in administering all necessary reviews.Keep department managers informed of accomplishments, problems, and recommended changes for improvement. Update policies and procedures library and recommend changes as needed.Maintain subject matter expertise to ensure the ability to lead specialized staff in various skills, including technical support.QualificationsEquivalent combination of education and experience is considered.Bachelor's Degree in related field is preferred. Minimum of six (6) years of work experience in banking operations or equivalent required. Experience with PenFed Credit Union products preferred. Minimum of two (2) years of experience in related work is required.Minimum of one (1) to two (2) years of experience in a managerial or supervisory role.Knowledge of statistics preferred.All member contact and leadership decisions must be provided in a professional, accurate, and timely manner.
