We are looking for an experienced Agile Business Analyst to join
our team and take internal data analysis and products to the next
level. You will both direct a team and act as a data champion. This
role ensures the successful fulfillment of key partner requirements
by either directly developing solutions or partnering with the
development team members. This role works closely with partner
teams (Research & Measurement, Business data, and Customer
Insights) to define product scope, document requirements, produce
product backlog, and deliver high-quality releases. The ideal
candidate is passionate about the work that will help develop our
innovative educational products. This person will help individuals
and teams continually improve their efficiency in achieving our
education vision, through a combination of expertise, mentoring,

Responsibilities of the Agile Business Analyst:
Work with Key Partners, Domain Experts, and Developers to define
and elicit business/product requirements, scope, and complete
releases within deadlines
Translate and build requirements based on the level of
uncertainty in a project.
Detail current operational procedures, challenges, and input and
Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with key partners
and the agile development team
Familiar with technology - majority of projects will focus on
data ingestion, linking between systems, and not on UI. Will need
to be able to keep up with a technical conversation and capable of
independent research into unfamiliar terms and processes
Requirements analysis: Collaborate with key partners and
decompose large epic stories into features and user stories that
can be understood and approved by members of the development
Requirements documentation: experience managing product backlog
and product roadmap.
Experience crafting user stories and acceptance criteria to
Experience providing product management support such as
prioritization and backlog grooming.
Serve as a key member and invested leader of your cross
departmental agile team to plan, develop, and deliver working
software. Actively participate in your team's ceremonies and be
readily available to address questions, concerns, and blockers.
- Document and communicate bi-weekly and quarterly product
status, issues, risks, and decisions to senior management in an
Agile, change-laden environment
Basic Requirements of the Agile Business Analyst:
BA/BS or equivalent experience
A minimum of 3+ years of dynamic experience as an Agile Business
Experience with work management tools: i.e., JIRA.
Proven aptitude towards problem identification and
Familiar with data requirements and related data activities.
Proven organizational skills and great attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills
Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
- Excellent project management skills
Preferred Qualifications of the Agile Business Analyst:
Experience working in the education technology field
Experience leading software development projects
Certification in a related process (PMP, Lean Sigma Six, Agile
Scrum-master) a plus
- Basic experience with SQL
