In support of our ongoing growth, we are looking for a User Experience Designer. We're on the lookout for a creative person with an analytical mind who will be energized to re-imagine the way manufacturing companies interact with their data in the digital world. You should be someone who takes pride in creating intuitive designs that enable the end user to draw key insights as efficiently as possible. The preferred location is Troy, MI but remote applicants with some accompanying travel will also be considered. WHAT'S YOUR IMPACT?

  • Apply creative problem solving and strategic thinking to complex design problems.
  • Work in a hands-on role producing organized and thoughtful designs that negotiate the complexity of a cloud driven enterprise software system.
  • Produce high-quality design deliverables to communicate design solutions and facilitate discussion (e.g., sketches, wireframes, task/process flows, hi-defs, style guides etc.)
  • Effectively present designs, communicate rationale, trade-offs, and be receptive to feedback.
  • Ability to communicate with team members, gather feedback, and iterate quickly.
  • Perform at a high level in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and be open to change.
  • Work closely with executives, product managers and developers in usability and other customer feedback activities.
  • Evangelize the Design Thinking process within the organization
  • Participate in user research to help better shape your design and processes
  • Plan and administer the appropriate type of usability evaluation (e.g. moderated vs. unmoderated test, lab vs. remote test, usability testing vs. expert review vs focus group testing vs. survey) IS IT IN YOU?
    • Degree in User Experience Design, Human Factors, Human Computer Interaction or related field, or equivalent professional experience and presenting data.
    • 2 - 5 years working in the field of user experience design, interaction design and user interface design.
    • Experience producing high quality sketches, wireframes, and mock-ups
    • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript
    • Nice to have: Mobile app design experience
