Role Summary/Purpose

The Field Workforce Planning Leader will provide global leadership for FieldCore's Field workforce composition to strategically position the organization for future needs and business objectives. This role will perform supply and demand analysis of our current and future labor supply, perform gap analysis of surpluses and deficiencies, and prepare solution analysis with action plans to address. This role will partner with various senior stakeholders including Gas Power Leaders, Product Line Leaders, CoE's, Region General Managers, Resource & Field Operations Leaders, Technical Training & Development, HR, Finance.

Essential Function

  • Develop and operationalize a workforce planning framework using comprehensive statistical techniques that incorporates market intelligence, forecasted demand, skill set needs and competency gaps, to enable data driven outcomes with defined assumptions & position a stronger future workforce.
  • Develop quarterly operating rhythms where we continuously review our field workforce profiles and action plans to deliver upon outage needs moving away from a yearly process.
  • Create the proper workforce data sets in a manner that illustrates the various labor compositions allowing multi-dimensional views on how best to articulate the current baseline and gaps of our current & future workforce
  • Develop core metrics and dashboards to ensure our business leadership have easy access to the right information when monitoring organizational health and readiness for outages.
  • Partner with Talent Development/Talent Acquisition/Region Leaders/Technical Training & Development to ensure the action plans from Workforce Planning transition into Workforce Development.
  • Create business cases, both operational and financial, on capital investments for future labor needs.
  • Initiate and execute on data-guided analyses to help inform and support our Executive Team and our Employee Experience Centers of Excellence (i.e., Learning and Development; Total Rewards; People Technology; Inclusion and Diversity, etc.) drive a high performing culture & employee base.
  • Develop compelling, logically structured presentations that can synthesize complex data into clear, actionable next steps.
  • Keep up-to-date & introduce latest trends from technology, people analytics, and data science research to inform the business strategy. See around corners in the labor market and drive our organizational agility to adapt quickly.
  • Serve as a thought leader in the industry to share and compare best practices
  • Incorporate Lean and problem solving fundamentals into the daily management and standard work practices of workforce planning

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in related field
  • Knowledge of Power Generation Products, Maintenance, Services, and Installations. 10+ years of experience in managing and developing multi-discipline teams, preferably with international reach across multiple service types
  • Data intensity mind set with strong analytical skills and ability to execute in fast paced environment
  • English proficiency required
  • Extensive experience covering: building and managing statistical techniques, advanced research design, and analytics/decision sciences with expertise in predictive modeling, time series forecasting, network analysis.
  • Experience with SQL, and other analytics tools, data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Google Data Studio), and data pipeline tools
  • Experience managing and working with large databases, data management, including understanding of various data structures and common methods in data transformation, data validation and audit.
  • Passion for people analytics innovation and a clear vision for how we can use analytics to drive meaningful impact towards business priorities.
  • Excellent consultative and collaborative skills - ability to translate business problems into research/analytics studies, as well as ability to communicate the results of analyses with business partners to impact strategy and action
  • High integrity and discretion. People data is some of our most sensitive data and we expect employees with access to this to act with utmost professionalism.

Desired Characteristics

  • MBA or Master's degree from an accredited college or university
  • Field/Operational experience
  • Prior work experience within Energy Services industry
  • Ability to lead and influence large and diverse global organizations
  • Ability to work and partner within a cross-functional environment and effectively manage within diverse and global cultures
  • Ability to interface effectively with all levels of the organization, as well as external organizations
  • Executive level presentation skills
  • Strong change management skills. CAP trained
  • Strong leadership, organizational and planning skills
