Position: Coordinator, Operations & Events, High School USA Reports To: Manager, High School USA Department: Academic Exchanges Location: U.S. based remote About the Company: Council on International Education and Exchange (CIEE) is a nonprofit study abroad and intercultural exchange organization that transforms lives and builds bridges between individuals and nations through study abroad and international exchange experiences that help people develop skills for living in a globally interdependent and culturally diverse world. Summary of Position: The Operations and Events Coordinator role is a critical position on the Academic Exchanges Team, which supports both the inbound private sector J-1 program and the Grants inbound programs. The Operations & Events Coordinator is responsible for working across teams to plan and implement several annual events domestically and internationally. Event planning will include contract research, review, and negotiations, and successful delivery of each event. This includes coordination with international representatives, government agencies, field staff, local coordinators, students, volunteer host families, and other CIEE teams. Primary Responsibilities: * Event planning and coordination for several annual events. * Work with Operations Manager to assist with other volunteer incentive programs and program development. * Other operational tasks, as needed, to support the inbound high school exchange program. Skills and Experience: * Bachelor's Degree * An outgoing, self-motivated personality * Excellent Organizational and time management skills with regularly shifting priorities * Ability and willingness to remain flexible, shifting between projects based on seasonality of program, as directed by supervisor * Event planning experience * Meticulous attention to detail in a very fast paced environment * Strong, professional, written and verbal communication skills * Fast learner of new technology, systems, procedures, and policies Diversity Matters: CIEE believes that diversity matters and that professionals with diverse backgrounds provide diverse approaches and ideas to solving problems and finding ways to advance our mission to bring the world together.
