About this PositionThe Grants & Contracts Supervisor directly supervises an 8-member team of contract and procurement specialists, providing oversight and compliance for a range of professional, technical and administrative services. This position provides leadership, supervision, and development for a team that serves the County's largest department, enhancing communication and shared oversight responsibility within and among nine direct service divisions in Lane County Health & Human Services, and incorporating continuous improvement into our business operations. This team works closely with state and federal funding partners, as well as with community nonprofit and other service providers. -The incumbent will partner closely with the Fiscal Services Supervisor and be deeply involved in efforts to increase effectiveness, consistency, and transparency in the department's administrative services. -We are heavily focused on developing training, tools and resources as well as providing process navigation through the broader County systems.Successful candidates will possess knowledge of governmental contracting, procurement and grants management. -They will demonstrate skill in supervision and team leadership. - Competitive candidates will demonstrate aptitude for process improvement, change management, stakeholder communication and eliciting buy-in and adoption of department-wide processes. -About this DivisionThe Lane County Health & Human Services (H&HS) Administration Division provides leadership and supportive services to the nine direct service divisions of H&HS, coordinating an integrated system of health and human services. The division is responsible for providing department wide leadership, strategy, contracting, personnel and fiscal services.The Administration Division has a significant emphasis on supporting H&HS staff and supervisors in the service and delivery of their programs. -Candidates for our team will demonstrate a strong customer service focus with exceptional communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. -They will be flexible, adaptive, and drive innovation. In addition, they must show a clear ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds, and maintain ethical standards consistent with our mission as stewards of the public trust.Schedule: Monday - Friday; 8:00am - 5:00pm*This is a non-represented position*Training & Experience:Bachelor's Degree in a related field and four years of professional experience directly related to area assigned, including lead or supervisory experience; -or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.Some positions may require a Master's Degree or Medical Doctorate specific to area assigned.In accordance with state law, the incumbent of this position is required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, or have an approved medical or religious exception, prior to starting work.Job Requirements:Equal Employment OpportunityLane County is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
