For enterprises, service providers and government agencies, Virtustream's xStream - Management Platform and Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) meets the security, compliance, performance, efficiency and consumption-based billing requirements of complex production applications in the cloud - whether private, public or hybridThe Sr. Systems/Presales Engineer has responsibility for driving solutions for customer initiatives, developing architecture that leverages the Virtustream Cloud offerings and Cloud Services to solve complex data challenges for Virtustream's enterprise customers. This is a technical, customer facing role. The candidate will be working closely with the local theater and sales/services teams. The SE will own the technical engagement associated to the customers including data collection, architectural design/solution and services, Proofs of Concepts. The ideal candidate will have experience in customer facing roles, has extensive technical skills in relevant areas, market understanding and a consultative approach to solution development. He or she should be able to propose innovative solutions to complex problems.Key AccountabilitiesThis position defines the overall Dell solution for the customer and makes presentations on all aspects of company products and services.

  • Assists the sales staff in assessing potential application of company products and services to meet customer needs.
  • Prepares detailed product specifications for the purpose of selling high end-product and solutions. Conducts customer needs analysis.
  • Provides project scoping. Coordinates internal specialists and inter-department activities. Assists sellers in creating demand for product.
  • Requires a high degree of technical competency to respond to customer needs and to discuss product capabilities and applications with technical users/buyers.
  • Customarily and regularly engaged at client facilities and delivers high impact presentations leveraging strong technical skills.Key Responsibilities
    • Support highly complex customer environments
    • Build and manage relationships with executive level, technical staff, and decision makers
    • May advise new approaches/methods to selling enterprise/client products and services
    • Verifies operability of highly complex product and service configurations for customers
    • Knowledge of the Cloud market and the key vendor offerings
    • Experience in migration methodologies to public cloud, designing hybrid cloud solutions and cloud migration plans
    • Working knowledge of ITIL concepts, IT operations management, and Change Control
    • Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort with both large and small audiences
    • Verifies roles and responsibilities required to support account team
    • Understands market and industry data to provide thought leadership
    • Ability to leverage Channel Partners and or third-party solutions
    • Qualifies highly complex sales opportunities in the terms of customer technical requirements, competition, decision making process and funding
    • Present the design, value of proposed solution, and business case to customers, prospects at an executive levelExperience Required
      • Minimum 5 years of experience qualifying and architecting SAP solutions
      • Discovery of customer requirements related to SAP workloads (including Early Watch Reports) is a must
      • Experience with cloud providers (AWS, Azure, and or GCP) and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and advanced services to expand and digitally transform legacy customer environments
      • Experience building and or deploying enterprise or cloud scale applications (AWS, Azure, and or GCP)
      • Deep understanding of cloud computing concepts, technologies, business drivers, and emerging computing trends
      • Customer focused and results driven with the ability to build trust and relationships with customers
      • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
      • Great communication skills - written and oral
      • Willingness to travel up to 50%Education
        • Technical BS degree, Computer Science, Math background, or equivalent work experience (including industry certifications) highly desired.
