The basics of the job are to remove a variety of parts from damaged vehicles and prepare them for resale. Those who are really good at the basic aspects of the job will be given more compensation, responsibility, and variety of tasks.***Candidates must possess their own set of automotive tools to completely dissassemble an entire vehicle*** Essential Job Duties

• Work safely in a wrecking yard environment
• Follow written instructions to identify the appropriate year, make, model, of each vehicle.
• Use a variety of hand and power tools to remove car parts without damaging them (or yourself!!!)
• Must have proper lifting technique Work Environment
  • Working in a covered bay with a lift
  • Access to air for pneumatic tools Physical Requirements
    • You have to be tough (must lift up to 75 lbs on occasion) and carry up to 50 lbs frequently
    • Standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crawling, somersaults consistently throughout the day (JK on the somersaults)
    • Must have full movement of arms and legs for 8+ hrs/day Prior Experience
      • Auto Mechanic knowledge across various vehicle types a must
