About the Job We have an opening for a Crisis Support Specialist at our Hourglass Community Crisis Center in Eugene, Oregon. This position works as a member of a direct care team serving adults with serious mental illness. Their primary responsibilities include supporting the development of life skills and therapeutic interventions and keeping accurate clinical documentation. In addition, you will receive crisis de-escalation training, which requires performing various physical, hands-on maneuvers and techniques. If you have experience working as a Qualified Mental Health Associate (QMHA), Direct Support Professional (DSP), Residential Assistant (RA), Residential Counselor, Skills Trainer, or Caregiving for a client with behavioral health needs, then this position may be a great fit for you! Work Schedule: Tuesday through Saturday, 4:00pm - 12:30am (Full Time Swing) What You'll Make$24.00 - $26.00 per hour DOE/Credentials. An additional $2.50 per hour night shift differential will apply during the work hours of 10:00pm - 6:00am. About the Program Hourglass Community Crisis Center is a program designed to provide 24/7 support to individuals who suffer from mental illness. This Crisis Center will be available 24/7 to accept individuals referred by law enforcement, community providers and individuals themselves for mental health crisis assessment, stabilization, and active linkages to community providers for same-day or next-day follow-up support services. ColumbiaCare Services is a qualifying employer for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program. QMHA employees are also eligible to apply for the Oregon Behavioral Health Loan Repayment Program. What You'll NeedMust be EITHER certified and registered as a Peer Support Specialist (PSS) through the Oregon Health Authority; OR be registered as a Qualified Mental Health Associate (QMHA) through MHACBO or become registered within 30 days of hire. Eligibility for QMHA registration requires 1 out of 3 Criteria below:Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Science: Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Human Development, or related field; OR minimum three (3) years of verifiable behavioral health experience working with individuals with behavioral health needs in a supervised setting; OR equivalent combination of behavioral science education in addition to satisfactory supplemental behavioral health experience and trainingSuccessful applicants MUST also have a valid Oregon driver's license, maintain a safe driving record, and the ability to pass a DHS criminal background check.
