Job Description:
Summary/Objective The accounts receivable specialist is
responsible for collection and payments of patient accounts.
Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable

- Resolve insurance denials by resubmitting corrected claims,
submitting medical records, and writing appeals letters in a timely
manner
- Follow-up with insurance companies on any unpaid claims
- Monitor claims for denial trends to prevent future denials, and
ensure efficient claim processing
- Manages insurance claims by running aging reports
- Assist to resolve client discrepancies by providing efficient
customer service
- Process monthly delinquency notices
- Weekly and monthly reporting to direct supervisor
- Meet defined department goals
- Process credit card payments and credits
- Make adjustments to accounts, as needed
- Prepares refund in AR system for payment Work Environment This
job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely
uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones,
photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representatives of those
that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the
essential functions of this job. This is a largely sedentary role;
however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to
lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as
necessary. Required Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Two of three years' previous experience. Additional Eligibility
Qualifications
- Types 40 WPM. Expected Hours of Work Typical days and hours of
work are Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Some flexibility
in hours is allowed. Employees must work 30 hours each week to
maintain full-time status. Travel No travel is expected for this
