Job We have an opening for a Residential Peer Support Specialist.
This position will support three Secure Residential Treatment
programs on OSH Junction City Hospital's campus. The Peer Support
Specialist will meet each new resident at admission to the program
and support the individual in feeling welcome, answer their
questions, provide compassionate support, and guide them in
articulating any self-determined goals they may want to work on
while at the residential treatment facility. The position will
engage in one-to-one conversations with residents to build trust,
utilize strategic self-disclosure to build connection and normalize
mental health challenges, and support individuals in connecting
with community peer support systems. This position will facilitate
and coordinate peer groups where residents can discuss their unique
recovery stories and challenges. In addition, the Residential
Support Specialist will receive crisis de-escalation training,
which requires performing various physical, hands-on maneuvers and
techniques. If you have experience working as a Peer Support
Specialist or facilitating recovery-oriented conversations or
groups, then this position may be a great fit for you! Work
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 10:00am - 6:30pm (Full Time Day)
What You'll Make$20.00-$24.00 per hour DOE/Credentials. Additional
5% Language Differential offered for Bilingual or Multilingual
candidates (Spanish/English desired). About the ProgramThis
position will support McKenzie Ridge, Madrone Ridge, and Manzanita
Ridge. These programs are state-licensed Secure Residential
Treatment Facilities (SRTF's), and each serve up to 8 adults who
require Aid and Assist services. Clients receive restoration
services, competency assessments, mental health rehabilitation
services, and personal care supports in a secure residential
setting. The facilities are located on the OSH Junction City
Hospital campus. ColumbiaCare Services is a qualifying employer for
the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program. What You'll
NeedSuccessful candidates MUST have personal experience with mental
health challenges and be Certified and Registered through the
Oregon Health Authority (OHA) as a Peer Support Specialist or Peer
Wellness Specialist. The ideal candidate will be familiar with the
criminal justice system and restrictive environments (inpatient,
outpatient, etc.). Successful applicants MUST also have a valid
Oregon driver's license, maintain a safe driving record, and have
the ability to pass a DHS criminal background check. About
