Job SummaryResponsible for preparing metal parts to be cleansed and coated with sulfuric acid solution and molten zinc while providing support to the warehouse operations.Responsibilities and Duties

• Load and unload metal/steel material in baskets/hooks
• Immerse objects in chemical solution to clean surface of scale foreign matter
• Dip objects into tank of molten metal to coat objects using hoist
• Use of grinder for removal of excessive coating
• Inspect objects for even and complete coating and return defective objects for reprocessingQualifications and Skills
  • Knowledge of tools and equipment specifications
  • Ability to read and understand galvanizing process
  • Ability to work independently, detail oriented with strong communication skillsPhysical Requirements
    • Standing - frequent to continuous
    • Walking - occasional to frequent
    • Bending/stooping/Squatting/Kneeling - frequent
    • Lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
    • Position is wrist and forearm labor intensiveWorking ConditionsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee operates in a loud noise level environment. - This position regularly works near moving mechanical parts, heavy equipment and tools. - Personal Protective EquipmentThe employee must wear approved safety glasses, hearing protection, hard hat, gloves and steel-toed shoes at all time.Benefits and Perks
