JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
Responsible for analysis, design, coding, unit testing and implementation services that ensure delivery of quality products and processes. Focuses on meeting the technical needs of business customers and systems analysts by designing and building appropriate solutions, ensuring they are well documented, supportable and scalable. Applies healthcare expertise, technical/analytic skills and industry experience in the development and management of robust sustainable solutions for the business customer.
DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
Information Services is committed to providing leadership, support and coordination of technology and project management services at Samaritan Health Services. The IS Managed Care team maintains responsibility for production support and integration services for the health insurance business line.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree (preferably in a related field) or equivalent experience required.
Computer Science or BIS degree or one (1) year experience in information technology required.
Experience in development required.
Industry recognized, current and relevant certification preferred.
Experience with programming language(s) preferred.
Experience in a healthcare environment preferred.
