--- Title: Regional Safety Supervisor
--- Location: Portland / Salem / Eugene, OR area
--- Travel/Schedule: You generally will work standard day-shift
hours Mon-Fri, covering a large job in Eugene and several smaller
service jobs in the Portland area. This position may eventually
transition into more of a traveling Safety Coordinator role (but
still within the Oregon / Southern Washinton territory).
--- Compensation: Target base salary -$80K - $95K+
o Bonuses/Additional Compensation: Relocation / sign-on bonus is
available on a case-by-case basis; company truck / gas card
provided; performance bonus program

Position Description: Safety plays a major role in successful
completion of all company projects. With this commitment in mind,
they strive to assure that no person will work in surroundings or
under conditions that are unsafe or dangerous to their health. They
pursue an active, comprehensive accident prevention policy in all
of their operations. Collaborating with their General Contractor
partners to achieve the goal of Zero Incident worksites is a high
priority.
The Regional Safety Supervisor's responsibility is to help minimize
the risk of job-related accidents, monitor operations to eliminate
hazardous activities and develop policies to promote occupational
health and safety awareness at construction job sites (typically
large industrial facilities or smaller service sites). You will
spend the majority of each day either on-site or in a local office.
Some specific responsibilities include:
--- Oversee operations in the field and complete site audits.
--- Stay abreast of legal changes to safety and health codes;
conduct new hire safety orientations.
--- Ensure Foremen are complying with safety and health regulations
and company policy.
--- Direct accident investigation procedures.
--- Keep records of safety-related incidents and propose corrective
actions.
--- Organize and conduct training for the crews (fork-lift, aerial
lift, fall protection, trenching excavation, fall protection,
confined space, etc.).
--- Collaborate with managers to monitor compliance and identify
safety issues.
--- Intervene in unsafe activities or operations.
--- Work with the customer to resolves any safety matters that
arise.
--- Be responsible for putting together site-specific safety
manuals, site fall protection work plans, job hazard analysis.
--- Attend monthly safety committee meetings and makes sure job
sites are conducting weekly safety meetings.
