Job Description:
Director Facilities Management
Provides leadership, direction and administrative oversight for the
operations of Facilities Management, Environmental/Laundry/Linen
Services, Security and Biomedical Services
Full-Time Position (80 Hours Per Pay Period)
Shift: Days Days: Varied

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

independently with minimal supervision
- Demonstrates blue print reading skills and knowledge of
applicable building and regulatory codes
- Demonstrates knowledge of Environmental Services, Linen
Services , and Grounds Services processes and functions
- Maintains regular, consistent and punctual attendance at the
assigned job location
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES/DEGREES
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or an associate's degree
combined with eight years of experience in a similar position
- Masters level degree in a related field preferred
- Current Oregon driver's license
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of five (5) years' experience in a hospital or related
industry as a maintenance engineer or in a building or construction
trade.
- At least two (2) years' documented experience in a supervisory
or lead position in a health care facility or maintenance
field
- Experience with refrigeration, nurse call systems, fire alarm
systems, elevators, pumps and motors, boilers, generators, chillers
and HVAC and other various hospital equipment and electrical
equipment
- Working knowledge of but not limited to the following:
generators, boilers, pumps, motors, elevators, conveyors,
compressors, HVAC, refrigeration, hydraulics, firefighting
equipment, various power tools (drills, grinders, sanders, solder,
etc.), basic carpentry tools, various hand tools associated with
building and electrical maintenance, hand held radios, lockout
tagout devices, welding equipment, electrical meters and other
equipment associated with building maintenance

PHYSICAL/MENTAL/ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS
- Able to stand, climb, stoop, bend frequently
- Requires ability to tolerate exposure to conditions which may
include toxic chemicals, bio-hazardous materials, dirt, dust,
fumes, smoke, heights, high temperatures or confined spaces
- Able to use appropriate equipment and proper body mechanics to
lift supplies and equipment and push carts and dollies weighing up
to 500 lbs.
- Needs adequate color vision.
- Must wear protective clothing as required.
- Able to travel to various locations
- Needs ability to communicate effectively through reading,
writing, and speaking in person or on telephone
