Job Description:
*Job Posting: **Day Shift 5/8-hour days**Assembly Technician &
Welder/Fabricator*Precision Machine & Manufacturing is in growth
mode! As a result, we are looking for an experienced Assembly
Technician who has Welder/Fabricator experience.*A few of the more
common essential functions* - Fitting, setting, and installing
fabricated/machined components into finished units. - When
necessary, repair units by dismantling, straightening and reshaping
metal components as needed. - Metal forming, bending, rolling, and
finishing. - Layout steel construction efficiently and with a high
degree of accuracy prior to welding. - Read, interpret, and follow
basic blueprints, diagrams, and engineering drawing specifications
so products and/or assemblies are created per engineering prints
and in accordance with welding & machining specifications. - Cut
and join metal parts per detail using typical metal fabrication
tools including an ironworker, cold saw, oxy-fuel torch, plasma
cutter, and welding machine (MIG, SMAW, TIG, DUAL SHIELD), etc. -
Basic MIG welding of steel and aluminum. - Utilize a variety of
handheld tools such as grinders, screw/drill guns, and various
pneumatic tools. - Operate calipers, weld gauges, tape measures,
and other welding hand tools. - Prepare, inspect, clean, diagnose
and repair all welding-related equipment and materials.*Skills,
Knowledge, and Abilities* - *Must have a hard-working,
team-oriented & POSITIVE hard-charging attitude while being
coachable, and open to learning and taking instructions.* - Must be
able to safely operate a MIG and/or gas welding system. Preference
is given to candidates with Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) and/or Gas
Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) experience using both aluminum and
steel materials. - Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Able to work independently, follow directions, and interpret
drawings, details, and written instructions. - Ability to safely
operate metal-cutting equipment (ironworker, cold saw, grinder,
sander, oxy-fuel torch, etc.) - Ability to safely create weldments
that are structurally and ascetically sound. - Proficient at using
measurement tools (tape measure, caliper, square, etc.) -
Detail-oriented and performs duties and functions safely and in
line with company safety standards. - Regularly lift 30-50 pounds -
Regularly perform repetitive tasks - Ability to operate a fork-lift
and an overhead crane - Work in a team environment and respect all
teammates*Experience/Education: * - Assembly: 2+ years preferred. -
Welding/Fabrication: 1-2+ years preferred. - High school
diploma/GED required. Trade school or Community College technical
training is preferred.*Compensation: * - $20-$26 per hour to start
