Description
Our client needs an IT Project Manager for at least 6 months, probably longer. This person must have recent experience managing project(s) that involved SAP (i.e. an enhancement, adding functionality, upgrade, etc.). The PM must have experience in the Supply Chain and/or Manufacturing disciplines (rather than Finance, HR, etc.).
The PM should be senior level who can hit the ground running, with a solid SAP and Supply Chain background, and great relationship building skills.
Experience with Transportation and Warehousing projects is highly desired. Client industry experience is also desired but not required.

The Two Projects:
--- The larger project will involve the client partnering with a 4PL (fourth party logistics provider) to implement a Managed Transportation Service (MTS) model which will require systems integration and change management. Kickoff will be in January 2023 with the first facility go-live in May 2023, with subsequent go-lives in 2 month intervals. (60% of time spent on this)
--- Additional projects include physical network alignment work - i.e. the physical moves of production lines from a US facility to one in either the U.S. or Mexico, and the decommissions/closures of the facilities - all from an IT perspective. (40% of time spent on this)

This Project Manager should have the traditional project management skills, including the ability to work in a non-structured environment. Someone who\'s used to a structured and refined project management methodology would NOT be a good fit. Client does have an established PMO but they need someone who is flexible and not rigid in their approach.
Not looking for someone at advisory, leadership, management or program manager level - must be very hands-on (a roll-up your sleeves approach, a doer).
Also must have outstanding soft skills and great communication skills. Will have interaction with mainly IT but also will have interaction with business stakeholders, especially as it relates to testing. They don\'t have a separate QA team, the business users do their own testing and this is coordinated by the PM. Won\'t have to manage budgets and won\'t have any direct reports.
Their project management methodology combines Waterfall and Agile. The requirements are defined up front then they roll into Agile by doing 2-week sprints, the requirements aren\'t necessarily constantly being redefined.
They do use Epics and manage them in Jira. Smartsheet is also used to track project progress.
