Job Description Description: United Musculoskeletal Partners is
seeking a Contract Analyst that will ensure compliance with
corporate policies regarding payment and contractual allowance.
Verification with all payers by auditing contracts in the contract
management system, and calculation of expected reimbursement.
Researching to ensure governmental rates are updated timely as
well. The Contract Analyst role includes reconciliation of the
contract management system back to source systems and reporting of
payment variances. Requirements: As a key member of the Revenue
Integrity team, the Contract Analyst: - Analyze data to find missed
revenue opportunities - Audit contracts prior to movement into
production within contract management system - Coordinate changes
needed to contract profiles or system set up - Maintain working
relationships with Managed Care Department, to ensure timely
loading of contracts and proper interpretation of contract language
- Research to identify changes for governmental payers for contract
loading and auditing. - Monitor Payer websites for changes to
payment rates or methods - Provide analysis of data in contract
management system to Practices and corporate management as
requested. - Maintain working knowledge of contract management and
patient accounting systems. - Build relationships with Finance,
Revenue Cycle and Managed Care Personnel - Analyze data to
determine corrective actions needed to effectively direct changes
required to maintain the integrity of the fee schedules in the
contract management system. - Ability to understand payment
methodology and utilize formulas with system syntax to correctly
program reimbursement rates for contracted commercial and
governmental payers - Provide support to end users for contract
management system reimbursement detail of contracts loaded -
Reconcile Contract Management System files back to source systems -
Reporting for payment variance reviews - Work with Charge Master
owner to provide guidance on rates to avoid losing reimbursement
from lesser of charge language (pricing optimization) EDUCATION AND
EXPERIENCE - Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business
or commensurate experience. - 2 plus years of contract management
(Revenue Integrity ) experience preferred - 2 plus years of
experience working with Reimbursement methodology required
SKILLS/ABILITIES - Excellent verbal, analytical and interpersonal
skills - Intermediate level of Excel knowledge required for optimal
functionality in the role - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite -
Knowledge of Managed Care Contracts and Medicare payment
