About the team The New Construction business operates in a strong team-oriented environment, working together to not only achieve results, but provide the best client experience in the industry. Our customer base consists of large (often publicly traded) national builders, mid-sized regional builders and smaller regional builders. About the role We are looking for a Director of Sales to lead the sales teams focused on the national and mid-sized regional builders. As a Director, you will be responsible for helping determine the growth strategy for the national builders. You'll partner with extremely seasoned national sellers to identify new opportunities which will contribute to year over year revenue growth. With a deep understanding of Sales and Marketing, you will be responsible for helping execute yearly rate increases, facilitating difficult negotiations while partnering with Zillow Operations and Product on new and exciting product enhancements . In addition, you will directly oversee the Senior Account Executive team Manager. This team is focused on the large regional builders. Through coaching and a strong strategic voice, you will help strengthen existing relationships while driving increased sales revenue from the team. This group is focused on breaking new business as well as driving for incremental revenue from existing customers. We believe in a customer first approach and as such you will be expected to be highly solutions oriented. Your teams will come to respect your thoughtful and strategic sales and management approach. You will have a firm command of sales data to help support your efforts and decisions. This role will report to the Sr Director of Sales. You Will Get To: Own, develop, and lead all aspects of sales, sales strategy, and personnel development spanning every level of the National & SAE sales org. Focus on implementation of consistent and high-quality sales output; roll up sleeves, and push improvement through ongoing iteration. Monitor and continuously improve metrics focused on revenue, sales velocity and closing ratios. Lead teams through change in a hyper-growth environment. Grow and develop a sales culture with a focus towards a growth mindset. Contribute to our sales team's employee satisfaction, leads an org focused on positivity and continual improvement. Effectively communicates ZG's New Construction value proposition through presentations, industry events, executive meetings, and sales proposals. Properly communicate sales forecasts for monthly, quarterly and yearly goals with finance and the leadership team. This role has been categorized as a Remote position. "Remote" employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice which must be identified to the Company. Employees may live in any of the 50 US States, with limited exceptions. In certain cases, an employee in a remote-designated job may need to live in a specific region or time zone to support customers or clients as part of their role. In Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada and New York City the standard base pay range for this role is $146,300.00 - $233,700.00 Annually. This base pay range is specific to Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada and New York City and may not be applicable to other locations. Who you are Proven sales leadership experience including implementation and ongoing management of goal setting, accountability metrics, and pipeline management. Flexible, with the ability to lead large scale teams, cross-functional responsibilities, and priorities in a fast paced, growth-focused and time-critical environment Proven ability to train sales teams on managing a complex sales process that may include multiple decision makers and influencers as well as a transactional sales process that may include a single decision maker. Ability to communicate, present, and influence multiple levels within an organization, including at the C-level with extraordinary communication skills, both oral and written. The position requires 30-40% travel to meet with industry decision makers in corporate marketing as well as at divisional and national levels. 8+ years sales leadership experience - ideally across a range of sales & product environments, including organizations that combine a large outbound sales team with an outside sales team to drive growth. You have significant experience leading multiple sales organizations of 10+ representatives and leaders. In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for variable incentives and/or equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location.
